Cuda-Challenger.Com Garage
« on: April 02, 2007 - 02:22:32 PM »
We should try creating a Cuda-Challenger.Com garage. I seen the members rides list which isn't very complete at all. Here a person would enter the garage and there are the cars of ALL the members. Wouldn't that be a nice garage, to be able to walkin and pick any car that you want to drive - except mine. Actually, we would just have one shot, front view as they would be in a garage. The user would click on the car and be able to view multiple shots from engine to interior. Also, a description of the car.

Yeah sounds good. But what about those whose projects aren't completed? Another garage?

I agree - Same garage. How many of our cars/projects are ever really completed. I would consider my car very street ready, but still a work in progress. Thats a good point though, maybe you could either add a link to your restoration page or if you are having a problem with the car, tie a little red flag around your antenna. Then when someone is looking through the garage maybe they will see your red flag and stop by to help out.

If it was done like Moparts.com readers rides page, it would be fine. As long as you could modify/update your page unlike Moparts. I sent him an inquiry on this do see if he could modify that page and he said he wasn't sure how. Can any computer nerds help him out?

I can do it......I've got the programming skills to do it, I just don't have the art skills to create the graphics.....but you can check out http://www.templatemonster.com  they have all sorts of templates for cheap prices.  I don't mind picking up the cost of the template, as I can probably use some of the graphics elsewhere.

Ok, tell me what everyone wants to SEE and be able to do with this site.  I understand it will be like a garage and you should be able to scroll though the cars that are "in" the garage and when you pick one, it will show you more pics of that car.  But what else?  Bio information on the car, owner, etc.?  Any videos?  How will one add their car to the garage?  Do they have to be a member here in order to belong to the garage?

 :feedback:   :feedback:   :feedback:

Once I get the main idea of the site, I can start building it.  Also, suggestions for a domain name would be great.....I tried mopargarage.com, but it's taken.
