70 Spot Light Piece Into 73?
« on: April 03, 2007 - 12:19:21 AM »

Will the spot light "holder" piece fit into my 73's lower valance area? I like the round lights much better and mine have the square and from what I remember you can't put circle lights into the holders/cup unless you mock up some kind of custom bracket which won't be hard but if possible I'd rather by a new 70 piece that fits. I'm hoping it is possible as 1970, 72,73,74 all have the same lower front valance, only the 71 is unique. BTW, what IS that part called?

Thanks for any help.

The square lights on a 73 are parking/turn signal lights and the round on the 70 are driving/fog lights. The lower valance housings are molded into the valence trim panel so you would have to disgard the trim panel and fab the driving light housings to accept the twist in bulb sockets.

Ohhhh, I see, I forgot all about the indicators in the 70 'Cuda being in the grille and I never even realised where my indicators where LOL. I had only driven it a handful of times before it was stripped and into resto.

Thanks, I'll ask my shop to see what we ca come up with.

the 70&71 driving light brakets will not attach to the 72-74 bumpre brackets so you would have to custom make the braket to hold the light
