Provided the car can move, looks presentable (no rust issues and in primer), runs well, and stops well under its own power, Don would be ecstatic to know it's truly his. After seeing how much fun he had just cruising around in April's '72 in '05, he'd drive the hell out of it in whatever state it is in. (so mechanically sound and presentable should be what we strive for in the beginning stages. )

Not sure what you are talking about. I usually get to a post late, so it is hard to come up with something new if all of the posts say exactly what I wanted to say.
