Keep in mind that if you go with a 17" steel wheel, you are going to absorb a pretty decent weight penalty which will impact your handling and performance. Expect these to be in the 35+ pounds per wheel range, which is more than a factory 15 rallye fully dressed. To put it simply, your car will feel like an old truck.

I was recently reading through my latest Hot Rod and they were talking about a new chevy pick em up truck concept vehicle that they have out for the power tour this year. 22x10, billet aluminum wheels are on the ride and they weigh in at a whopping 65# each. I think they were trying to be impressive with the opening statement that these were whittled down from a 500# billet, but still, a 65# wheel just sucks.

N/Z instead of running wheel spacers, why not just order the wheels with the correct offset, or maybe stockton wheel can just change your offset. I've been running wheel spacers on my Challenger for almost a year without any problems, but I'm not going to run a 528ci 700hp Hemi either.
Also I've looked forever for some 305/50/15s after I saw them on a Cuda at a show, but no one makes them any more.
The 325/50/15's look mean and now I know they will fit my Challenger with a little work, but I'd find out how much more room Challengers have than Cudas before buying a tire that may not fit your Cuda.
 Good luck with your search.

Thanks guys for your help and input.

Evil - Yeah, I think 325/50 is going to be my aim, if I can go bigger with a slight tub I will.  :2thumbs:

Here's a couple of pics of TBH. I think if you are going to build a mean cuda it should look the part. Go ahead and tubb it and stick some meat under it.

That's awesome!!! But. I feel it's a little too wide for a real driving car. Corners are what I enjoy too. With big wheels like that you will get more hop or "bounce/skid" around corners. Great for straightline but I'm wanting an allround monster. Awesome photos though and not entirely out of the question. I like the fact that from side on it could almost pass for stock except the Hoosier labels on the tires. Do you have any more photos??

Yea I have to agree with that. They are a little big to do any serious cornering with I would think. Pretty impressive looking anyway. Here's a couple more pics from a small show from last summer. Can't wait for this years shows to start.

Thanks mate, no doubt, that car looks and more than likely is, a serious performer.
Sits nicely and looks real sinister. Your car also looks nice. For 'Cudas, you can't beat 71s. :worshippy

If you have any more photos don't be shy, I've saved the ones you posted.

I concur w/the above.

Avoid wheel spacers if at all possible.

If you're getting custom made wheels, why not?

Get a 1" dr. Diff relocation kit and keep your stock e-body rear; just move the perches.

Then, get a proper offset wheel.

I think you can get a 15x10 w/6" BS there.  THat would give you a 295-50-15.  Plenty wide enough.  Any wider and you MAY start hitting the fender.  Maybe you can fit a 305 if you roll the lip some.

Unless you are going to tub the car 325/50/15's are the biggest your gonna get in there so minitubbing has no affect!

Look at the tires sizes on MT's website! The next size up from the 325/50/15's tread width is a tubbed tire size!!!!

B-Body Rear with a 3/4 relo kit will get you the 325/50/15's ... and no spring perch relo needed  :burnout:

Im sure a Dana 60 is different but im sure doctor diff has all the answers you need!

You reckon? :dunno: 325/50 is a BIG tire! :22yikes:
So, just a 3/4" relocation spring kit? My cop rims are 15x10 with a 5-1/2" back spacing.

I'd go 325/50 if no body metal work was needed, a relo kit would be as far as I'd want to go.
A B-Body Dana 60 is no worries either. I was thinking at this stage a 3/4" with a 295/60 on a Dana 60 B-Body.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Why just 3/4"?

Dr. Diff's is a full 1"!  That extra 1/4" could mean the diff. between rubbing and not rubbing.
