Carlisle registration
« on: April 10, 2007 - 04:51:50 PM »
I attempted to register for Carlisle today on their website, and received confirmation that I had placed an "order".  They received my address, phone number and credit card info, but no info about my car.  I signed up for SME judging and it is my understanding that I have to send pictures.  I emailed them and inquired as to whether or not I would be filling out a more traditional registration type form, and hopefully I will receive a response shortly.  If anyone has any insight into this, I would appreciate it.  At any rate, apparently I am going to be the 35th person from CudasandChallengers.com to attend.  I am looking forward to it very much.

70challrtse,

You are correct and there is definitely a problem that is being addressed as I type this.  We are adding a place for you to enter the Year, Make and Model of your car as well as an address and email address where you can send the required photos for SME judging.  I apologize for this oversight.

If anyone else has registered online, we also need pictures with your submission.  Please send me a PM and I will let you know how to submit photos.

Thanks for understanding!

Thanks for dropping in and keeping us up to speed on the Carlisle situation Ed!!  Very cool!  I just got my ticket yesterday for entry to the show for 2007 and was wondering how they know what car I'm going to bring??   :clueless:  Do I need to send a note or something so that they know where to put me??  (hopefully close to the cc.com tent!)  :grinyes:  BTW . . . nice collection of cars, you need to post up some pics of all those fine rides you've collected!   :2thumbs:

Unless there is another glitch that I am not aware of, when you register for the Fun Field it DOES ask for your year, make and model.  Did you register for the Fun Field or SME?  Let me know.

About my cars, most of them are PROJECTS!!  I've been buying them since I was in high school in the 80s.  Then came college, a little break from college, college again, marriage, then a house and finally kids.  Now the kids are my favorite hobby but I hope to get back into car building very soon!  I do all of my own work and right now I want to spend as much time as possible with my family so the cars are just sitting in garages for now.

I was very proud when I brought home a '68 Charger that was supposed to be a parts car until my son saw it.  He was only 2 at the time but he knows his Mopars!  He looked out the window and said, "That's MY Charger."  Yes, at age 2 he could recognize 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Chargers, A body Barracudas, E body Barracudas, Challengers, '70 and '71 RoadRunners, and Super Bees if he could see the Bee emblem!  Oh, and he could identify and tell the difference between SuperBirds and Daytonas at age 2.

Anyway, my point is that I'm not some rich guy with a bunch of high dollar cars.  I bought them "right" back in the 80s and 90s (except for the Chargers) and held on to them through everything.  I'm just a typical Mopar nut and I hope that will show when you come to Carlisle!

See you in July!!!!

Hey Ed,

Glad to have you aboard here.  Mine isn't perfect either. Nor is it numbers matching or correct looking for the year. So what? It makes me happy as I sure your cars do you. That's what counts to me.

Did anyone else register for SME judging? I did, but have not heard back as to whether or not my Challenger was accepted. The deadline for registration was May 19th, I figured I would have heard by now. :dunno:

I think most of us are not of your stature.  You have an awesome car there!!  :2thumbs: Have you tried to call them? If you registered before May 19th, then I would think you are good to go. Have you not received anything in the mail?  :dunno:  At least I got that for the "fun field".

No, I have not received anything from them. On the the 23rd I sent an Email and they responded on the 25th and said that the judges had not selected the applicants that have been accepted. I'm comming over 1200 hundred miles so I would like as much of a heads up as possible. Thanks for your response.

I have a question about Carlisle Registration.  I thought I registered for the "fun field" online, but when my card came in the mail it says "show field".  Is that one in the same or do you think I will have a problem parking where we park by the tent?
