Interesting fuel fillers on a 1970 Challenger….
« on: April 10, 2007 - 07:30:22 PM »
Saw this on Ebay.  It looks like this person could not decide where he wanted to put gas in his car.  It has a Charger R/T gas cap on top of the passenger fender and an extended filler neck sticking out of the license plate area.  :clueless:  :dunno:  :bricks1:

Is "01" on the side?  Is Cooter's truck in the backround?   :dunno:

Maybe you fill the gas on the side but your Catch Can guy stands at the back  for overflow

That tank isn't even an e-body lol, it looks like its out of a truck or one of the bigger c-body cars :roflsmiley:  That way when your filling your gas tank and its done, it just shoots gas out of the tube all over the place :smilielol:

You sure that extra filler neck in the rear isn't the oil slick spreader?  Perhaps Bond did drive MoPar before he jumped into that famous little Aston Martin DB5. :dunno:

Interestinig car..... looks....interesting.....  :eek7:

What's with the gauge cluster?  Is it from a Road Runner or something?

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

That's definitely a 3rd gen b-body cluster. I'm surprised that it fits the e-body dash that well. I've seen e-body dashes in b-bodies before but not the other way around. Most people don't realize that the front unibody on 3rd gen b-bodies and e-bodies are almost identical other than the upper cowl and w/s pillar. I'm using a 72 charger front unibody clip to repair my 70 cuda.

Must be used to driving a truck, and wanted dual tanks. Look on the dash for a switch.    :roflsmiley:

That cluster looks good like it was born there and then abused all it's life  :smilielol:

I like it though :grinyes:
