Looks like it needs a lot of work. But on the other hand it's not that far out of linc. It looks OK for the price.

Wow, the price certainly isn't that bad for the condition of the car. (being a '71 and all.)

I'd probably jump on it if I was home. Oh wait, I have to move to some property before I bring anything else home. My wife's having a garage built as it is just so my Javelin doesn't have to go bye bye. Dumb homeowners association got a whole new board and now they're coming up with all these new rules. They are charging $25 PER DAY for derelict vehicles now. Luckily we just put up a nice fence and they can't see it. Bad part is, my wife just joined the board, but has no pull in these new rules. No leiniancy even for a soldier in Iraq. GRrrrrrrr. I am going to sell two of my vehicles when I get home (Jeep and 89 Buick) to get a 66 or 67 Charger for my daily driver. I was going to get something reliable and good on gas like a Honda Accord, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm the happiest in a classic vehicle.  I only live two miles from work and I could much more easily work on an old car like the Charger. If anyone knows of any in the $5-7k range or lower, let me know. Thanks.  Use the Cuda as a daily friver you say?...Neva!

Here's the only one I have with me. It's sitting in the backyard with no motor at the moment. A friend of mine is building the motor for me. It's a 360 that has been cooked and bored .040 over. I plan on taking this one down to metal on a rotisserie and resto modding it into a top end G machine.

...71 Challengers had 360's?  I thought 360's didn't come around until 72/73 when the 340 went away?

They didn't have 360's until 1974, although I believe other models had them earlier.

Ummm, we're talking AMC Javelins here fellows, not Challengers. You know AMC 360?

My mistake, I see now that you are referring to the 360 in the Challenger for sale.

That Javelin looks awesome. Love the 71-74 Javelins. There is one sitting here in a storage yard for over 11 years. Trying to buy it.

Thanks Nakita. I picked this one up for $600 about a year and a half ago. I have the rear spoiler for it too that I got off ebay. I don't think these cars look right without it. I'll probably put a front spoiler on too. Oh yeah, I also got rear window slats for it off of ebay. Can't wait to get the major work done on it.

If I am not mistaken, that 71 Challenger came from Oklahoma.  It just sold on ebay maybe three or four months ago for right around 5k or so??

edit: I just went back and saw the pic with the rear plate.  Yep same car.
