this shows you the rate of progress around my house...
turns out the botom door panel prongs that go in the door holes are on square backing plates.
These square backing plates were originally pressed in to the door panel with little sharp short "pin" thingies.
This less than durable (read crappy) design may have lasted through one or two panel removal/replacements before seperating from the door panel..
A previous owner was holding them on with duct tape reinforced with small screws.
Actually worked fairly well and since I did not see a good way to fix it...they're back on the same way.
Anyone have a good solution for holding the square backed door panel wire springy things onto the door panels on the '70?
I guess maybe a good glue?
