Flip-top gas cap

I just got my flip-top gas cap installed, but the trim ring rattles between the car and the cap, and the screws are visible...is this normal or am I missing a piece?

Are you taking about the mounting screws for the flip top? The screws would not show.

I doubt that you could put on wrong, this is too straight forward. Could you have the wrong cap or ring, there are similar items for earlier model Barracudas & Chargers.

Looks like the right stuff.. IF the screws that hold the cap assembly on are tight I don't see how the trim could be loose. Comparing your & srokers pics the only difference appears to be that there may be a larger gap above the release button but that could just be camera angle. It appears the screws are visible on both.
