Adjustable Proportioning Valve
« on: April 17, 2007 - 11:54:53 AM »
On my new SSBC Disc brake conversion kit the shop also hooked up the adj. prop. valve that came with the kit and they said I may need to adjust it and to take the challenger down an open road and hit the brakes.... the knob on the adj. prop. valve says increase / decrease ??? so my question is if the a$$ end of the car want to come around when I hit the brakes do I increase or decrease pressure ??? they said the adj. prop. valve is hooked up to the rear drum brakes !

thx  :burnout:

From what you described, you would then decrease the pressure so the rear doesn't lock up on you.

What Mike said, decrease pressure if the rears are locking up. Increase it if they aren't grabbing enough.
