Who makes the factory correct style tires?
« on: April 17, 2007 - 12:12:08 PM »
Where can I buy the correct style Good Year Polyglas GT (E60-15) with all the correct raised white letters BUT with today's rubber technology (no polyglas)?  I saw it once in a Mopar magazine and now need to find out how to reach them.  Please help!

In short, it appears that the answer is...they don't exist.  (I thought I saw them somewhere once, too)

I saw it in a magazine and I should have saved it.  It was recently released.  Correct everything but in a radial.  If someone knows this source PLEASE chime in.

Isn't there a tire copany / retailer called Coker, or something similiar that handles original equipment tires, actually replacements. ?

Yes, I just talked to them.  They sell the original (remake) bias plys, which I don't want a bias ply tire, for $310.00 per tire!  I asked why don't they copy the originals but in a radial?  He said that they get that asked all the time and Goddyear won't pay $ to retool based on the usage.  So there's my answer, not available in a radial that looks factory correct.
