Pics requested: 4-speed bracket for Z-bar & 4-speed hump underside

Can someone please provide some good, clear, big somewhat, pics of where the bracket goes on the front frame rail?

I think it goes where there's this tab on the bracket that it kind of fits into a slot on the frame rail on the topside.

Also, when cutting for a four-speed hump, how much do you go in from scribing around the hump?  1"?  Can someone provide good pics installed both top and underside (w/o the tranny installed)?

I generally cut approx 1" inside the line around the floor hump , the frame braket lines up with the Oval hole sorry no pix handy

I agree. Here is some pics of my 4 speed hump install. I'm looking for pics of the bracket install too. Where did you buy your bracket???

i love the cartoon pic of the cuda but it looks like a cross between a corvette and a cuda not a bad idea if GM buys Chrysler sorry if that comment offends anyone ??!!

However, what's the purpose of the raised area highlighted in red below?  You don't weld that part?  I imagine seam sealer would still cover it?

As far as the bracket, this is the only pic I have, but I can't tell it's for an e-body or not.


I'll have to take a pic of my car and where I THINK it should go as it seems like the bracket would be a little further away from the firewall compared to the pic above.

My 70 Challenger does not have that raised bump.  I think that the aftermarket humps have them to handle newer models floor pans. In fact, the replacement floor pan I used did have a hump in that area, but I hammered it down to match my hump.  This is starting to sound like a Fergy song

I dunno.  I got an OEM hump cut out from an original car and it has that raised hump.  maybe it came off of a newer '71+ e-body???

I haven't done anything yet till I do a trial fit. I have a 4 speed car in storage that I need to get up under and take some pics.
