I think resto mod describes pretty well the trend of modern stuff thru out a restored body. EFI motors, overdrive trannies, big brakes, modern suspensions and wheels and tires (definitely not 26" ghetto rims tho).
Hot rod seems to be leaning towards Deuces and open top roadsters and that kind of stuff. But can't forget that the NHRA is the top of the line in Hot Rods.

Muscle Rod sounds like a roadster or T bucket with a blower or something like that.
I do like Musclecar though, don't like G-machine or Pro tour. Pro should mean did or can make money at the track but I have it on the street for now.
Pro street needs no explanation.
I think most "G" machines are a type of Resto Mod.
Musclecar leaves no questions. :2cents: and a little more.

They both refer to a pretty specific genre of build ups. I don't care for either personally.

I always thought of pro touring as more of a gt approach with good road manners, good handling, and comfortable appointments. G machines were a more race oriented aspect of pro touring with the emphasis on performance ahead of comfort. Of ocurse once they get into the mainstream, the original intent and mean all gets lost.
