Jeff,

Welcome to the site.  I am orginally from PA myself and still have a lot of family there.  I own a 70 Challenger R/T and a 71 Charger Superbee.

Nice to have you aboard.

Trust me this it the best site on the web.

Nice car & very clean!! :2thumbs:
Welcome to c.c.com. Nice pictures. I read your post on motor combo's. Another choice and cheap to build for plenty of power would be a 400, with a stroker kit (puts a 440 crank into a 400 block) which will give you about 451 cubic inches. They make complete kits for this ('Schumacher', not sure I spelled it correct) at a very reasonable price. A 400 is a low deck block and as such provides more room for install and less weight. You can build one and run it on pump gas and also get upwards of 500 ponies from it. My car club (www.tidewatermoparclub.com) just built one and installed it into a 1975 Duster. You don't even need to change the K-frame if you go with the Schumacher kit. Just another angle to think about!! The total cost wouldn't be more than a 400+ HP 360 build up depending on what you are doing. Good luck with the car and keep us posted on what you decide. You'll find a ton of helpful advice here. lots of good folks!!

Hello and welcome to the board, 73Barracuda

A little off-topic, can I ask you how far is it from Carlisle to Harrisburg?
We will visit Mopars at Carlisle in July and leave by plane for Denver Sunday afternoon. We don't bring any car so I need to check out possible bus or train for that distance.

Greetings from Norwegian Challenger-owner and first time US-visitor  :)

Carlisle to Harrisburg is about 30 minutes drive. Can you possibly rent a car at the Harrisburg airport? Do you have hotel reservations yet?

Yeah I'm debating what to do about Carlisle.  It's not that far away, really, and I probably won't have any real money put into the 'Cuda before then.  I mean it looks nice from a distance but up close definitely shows some issues.  Would I look like a real moron putting it out on the show grounds?  When I was there, all the cars on display were freakin' NICE...

Besides Carlisle though, what else is there to do Mopar-wise around Harrisburg?  Anyone?  I think I'm gonna go help Mark drop in that 392...

There is a reason the call it the Fun Field. There are cars there that aren't finished. Bring it for the FUN of it.

Niiiiiice.  Very nice.  Yeah me I'm not sooo crazy about the white, but it's better than how it looked when the last guy bought it, and still better than how my dad's looked.

Eventually I'm goin' Gold with a textured black top - kinda like the AAR's had.

Does Cuda-Challenger "represent" at Carlisle?  Do we have banners or graphics we can purchase to display that we're club members?  On my other site - 2gStratus.org - we'd all try parking together at shows and had a large banner made up.  Of course, that board is probably a 10th the size of this one...
