Six-pack setup: How long should the air cleaner studs be?
« on: April 19, 2007 - 06:12:57 PM »
I just got a six-pack setup (woohoo!) and the new air cleaner setup came with studs that seem to be way to long. Just over 8".

Approx. how long should they be?

Or am I missing something...?

Nevermind. Some searching found me a pic of the correct ones.

I'll just cut these down for now. :-)

Something worth mentioning is that the 2-inches tall six pack air cleaner does not flow enough for a 440 at high rpms.

K&N do a version 3-inches tall that flows just over the amount of air you really need.

I doubt it will fit under many hoods but I am pretty sure it will fit under the Challenger R/T hood.

I will find out for sure in a week or two. If anyone has already done this it would be cool to know. If not then I will find out for sure in just over a week and will measure how much clearence is left. If any.
