IMO The Challenger bulge hood is the best hood out of Detroit. It's got class, it's sexy and mean all in one.
I think Shaker hoods are more suited to 'Cudas myself. 'Cudas with their no accent straight body line and straight flat hood with bubble work nicely together. A Challenger with it's body accent line and bulge hood lines work best.

I would say the bulge hood, unless you have DEEP pockets for the shaker setup.

see, i cant find a PB hood for less than 600 and that still has to be stripped painted and all that. i have a spare flat hood that i can strip, cut and paint then it is just the shaker parts which i have been told are about 600 so either way i think i have to have those deep pockets.

NZ : you do make a good point and i have wanted that PB hood for a loooooooooonnggg time, but it looks like so much fun watching the engine move while your inside the car. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH i cant decide. If i could find a decent PB hood for less than 600 shipped i would scoop it up but i just cant find one. Maybe at the battleship i will find one.

I think you'll find the Shaker hood parts needed to do it properly would be more than $600.
I think it's more around the $2,000 mark. :-\

Probably closer to $4000 for the aftermarket and you will need to supply a flat hood.

I guess I'm between fishn, and NZ. I was figuring around 3K for the Shaker stuff. You better want it BAD, if you go this route.

The bulge hood looks nicer on the Challenger in most color combinations I think. Especially with the blackout treatment.

Yes, but he said he had a spare flat hood so I took that out of the equation.
My figure is on the kind side, I should have said he'd need "at least" $2K.

I think it really depends on the colors of the car.  If you plan to paint you car in a bright color like BIGSHCLUNK's Sublime Challenger, I might go with the Shaker.  But if you keep it a standard color, I think the bulge hood is the best.  You could also black out the whole hood if you want it to stand out, but I could be a little one sided on this topic.
