the coolest garage
« on: October 30, 2003 - 12:31:20 PM »
just sitting around fantasizing about my next house and the garage im going to build.  i live in a town house now and i only have a very small garage that i can barely fit my cuda in.
I was thinking , anyone have any cool pics of home garages?   only garages at a home, no commercial shops.
70 cuda, 440, KB pistons, 10.5:1 compression, edlebrock heads,RacerBrown cam, 5-Speed Tremec, Megasquirt EFI

i kinda do.  its more showing off the cars in the garage, but you can kinda get the idea.  my garage wouldnt be the best model though because of its odd shape, but ill try to get this one going

Ross,  all I can say is  :o :o :o

My husband and I just built a 26X40' garage along side of our existing, cramped, teeeny tiiinnny, one car garage.  It took us a year, but we did most of the work ourselves.  The front part of the garage is 26X28', and we have a 26X12' workroom in the back.  I'll load some pictures.  We still want to run some air around so we can get to it anywhere without pulling 30 feet of hose off the wall.  The ceiling is tall enough where we can put a lift in if we want to sometime down the road.  I wouldn't call ours the "coolest" garage, but it's a far cry from what we had.

its a kit cobra, but it is a real original 427 sideoiler.  heres a pic of the engine

talk about a real monster!  i will say however that while this engine is definitely more powerful then the 440-6, when the secodaries open up on the 440 you definitely feel the shot more then in the 427.  the 427 just has more down low.

Wow... I guess you could sorta call me "blessed" with the number of garages that I can play in now...

My Dad has a 16x40 garage for car storage, a just-finished 35x50 garage for working in, and in December my wife and I take possession of our new 28x30 garage with 12 foot ceilings ... err... oops, I mean our new house with seperate garage. :)

I'll try snapping some pics of my Dad's garages later on today when I'm over doing the oil change in my Neon. I'll have to wait a month and a bit before I can post pics of the new place.
