Anyone remember these fuel savers?

I know some later aussie chryslers (VK-CL only) were available with a 'Fuel pacer' option - an amber warning light in a chromed bezel on the front of the right fender that glowed when the driver was driving uneconomically.

Just a vacuum gauge,  some US models had them stock in the late '70s

Yep, guess that accounts for my answer to the "age" poll.  If you keep your foot out of it you'll get better gas mileage, but what fun is that

Well if it makes you feel any better, a LOT of cars come with those todays.  Saw 'em a lot while I was a ford tech just last year.  So I guess what's old is new again.
