It is truly a sad day to hear about this.

I wish you all the best. Please stay in touch with us here Red. Likewise for Rev and Pixie too.  You're a great guy to be around with whether its on the Chat room, forum or at Carlisle. I hope that you both reach a mutual understanding as you depart from each other.
Mike, Fremont, CA.

Dear Chris and Laura,

I was wondering where you guys have been.  I noticed you haven't been posting as much lately.  When I started reading this post I just kept hoping that I wasn't going to read something terrible but alas I have.

Words cannot express how bad I feel about your situation.  Even though we haven't met, just because of this community that we share that you guys help maintain out of your unselfishness, I really feel a bond to you guys and the others on the board.

I really hope that all works out for both of you and for Heather also as she must be taking it hard too.  I'm glad that atleast you guys are still friends and are amicable with each other and perhaps you'll be able to take on a different roll for each other, perhaps not as life partners but perhaps as best friends.  Sometimes a little distance from each other may actually strenthen your relationship.

Any chance of doing a "restoration" or "Overhaulin'" on the relationship?  :dunno:  Email me if either of you want to chit chat...... take care.  We'll be here if you need us!

Red and Rev

I was welcomed to this board by both of you with open arms and have had the occasion to exchange e-mails with both of you. it is always a sad day when a part of a relationship comes to an end but if you can salvage friendship you are blessed. Good luck to both of you and stay strong.

Man, that is some very sad news. I was fortunate enough to meet both of you at the Nats last year, and was very impressed with both of you as good and decent people. I hope that everything works out for you.

Chris and Laura, this news comes as a shock to me.  I'm sorry things haven't been working out for the two of you, but hopefully you can work things out.  For what it's worth, both of you were very cool people the two years I was at Carlisle. ;)  I hope the very best for you two in the future, but it's sad to see the Challenger leave the Davis family after seeing all the hard work you two put into it. :-\

Red and Rev, this is sad new indeed. With all the pair of you appear to have excelled at in life(family, freinds, cars, etc.) it is with great sadness marriage was not one of the items on top of that list. I hope you both gave it all you had before making this decision and I wish the best for both of you. Please make sure you are not strangers here or to each other, if your travels bring you north, please make sure you stop in for some hospitality.

Thanks everyone.  Your sentiments and memories bring comfort.   Sometimes in life the old proverb "whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap" comes true with a hard lesson.    In a cruel twist of fate, a friend of mine from work innocently sent an email to me and my whole department with this link to a video he just compiled:
