It is Tom - same principle as in some of our garages
Those pics are great! Did you have a good trip? We drove around NY a few years ago. I was to chicken to go into the city. When I look out the window here all I see is flat as far as the eye can see. I have no desire to go to the big city.
Yep, chalk up one good trip
...and i don't blame you one bit!!
Great shot of the Empire State Bldg. I've always wanted to go to NYC, just can't seem to find the extra $$$ to go. Looks like an adventure.
I've been there three times, enough to know I don't wan't to go back. The people and the prices are pretty much alike, INSANE . I speak of the downtown scene, ya need a peace and a bottle, one for protection, the other for your nerves. Bad place.
Of course the closer your are to Broadway, 42nd Street, etc. the more expensive things get. Just as a fer' instance (and i'm sure in the local neighborhoods it's gotta be less expensive
) my friends and I had screwdrivers before each of the several Broadway musicals we attended; they double shots and a single for me with each shot being eight bucks
Three drinks - forty bucks. Insane is right
But the real insanity is driving that area. I heard not a single instance of contact between any two vehicles but no opening was too small to nose yourself into - i saw limos cut off buses, taxis cut off each other, and horns for anyone too slow to move
I had planned on doing most of my travel by foot and there were many times i simply did not cross the street just so's i could watch things when the light turned green. Unbelievable
Dig those statues on the buildings. Reminds me of Ghostbusters.
I've never been to N.Y.
Great pictures!!
Thanks for sharing them with us. Hope you've enjoyed the trip!! Nice survivor Mopars. I love those old Gothic style buildings with the cool looking dragons and big ugly gargoyles !!

It's a vertical city and there are gargoyles, cherubs, and all sorts of intricate facades everywhere. Some really beautiful work with odd unexpected items for good measure. That pic of the weathervane was from our sixth floor window at the back of the hotel looking up. Too cool
Alwyn Court has those dragon bas-reliefs from top to bottom. Some of that really beautiful work
