68 GTX VERT VALUE.....
« on: April 27, 2007 - 06:39:42 AM »
Hey everyone, i'm probably going to try and sell this car for a friend of mine in the coming weeks, i'm just trying to figure out what is a realistic price for it.  The car was professionally restored a couple of years ago.  It is not original.  It has a 69 440 that was rebuilt by previous owner with about 1000 miles on it.  The tranny is not original, it has had overdrive added to it.  He does have the original tranny but not the motor.  There are a couple of customized things that were done by the previous owner, that weren't changed because he couldn't find the parts he needed at the time to change it.  Most notably is the speakers in the rear panels.  This car was bought from New York, and the owner believes it had some front end damage at some point because the radiator support has been changed and it is missing the fender tag.  This car is completely legal.  It has had a vin verification which is required in the state of CT when you buy a car out of state.  It did have a title, but when you register your car in CT, you don't get it back.  Anyways, let me know what you think, in my eyes the car is gorgeous.  Damian.

I would have to start at least at 40K, but have seen them as high as 70k although they were numbers matching - Very nice car.

I would have to say LEAST 50 thousand. It's a REAL GTX even though not numbers matching in great condition by the looks of it AND a convertiable. Just look at this link howmuch they want for this one.

That is one sweet car,I saw it when it was being done. The guy that did the bodywork and paint is the same guy who did the gold 71 cuda 440 six pac that took best paint at Carlisle a couple of years ago.I also saw the car last summer when the owner had it out cruising in the nice weather. The Clown
