« on: April 30, 2007 - 06:05:15 PM »
I just purchased a passenger M46 scoop for my 70 barracuda. Talk about a hard factory part to find. One is better then non. So I am half way there....ALAN

I believe he is taking about the simulated qtr panel scoops for the Barracuda.

I have a question...... Is it possible that a vert could have been optioned with them? Are these the real deal??????????

Thanks Russ, I never knew of that option before. Looks "OK" not my taste.
Almost looks like it would slow you down if anything. lol Still, if it's rare it'll bring money I guess......

Alan,
A local mopar guy owns this vert. He mentioned that the scoops were a dealer installed option. I never thought to check the fender tag. Would it be on the fender tag? Would there be pentastars on them or parts numbers. If I can get some more info, I will email the owner and ask if its okay for you to email.
Tom

The fender tag will say m46 on it. so will the buildsheet if it has one.  The dealer also could of installed them, but they were an option for 70 only.  They came as an install package with other add ons as well. No repros have ever been made, but Scott Smith is doing his best to try and get them made for us.

Let me know what your buddy says, and if he says yes, remove them really careful and try to save the mounting studs and bolts....ALAN
