74 Cuda outrageously priced
« on: May 02, 2007 - 01:31:52 AM »
Is it just me or is this guy nuts? Yeah, it's a nice car, but it's only a BH car with a color that never came on that year. His opening bid is ridiculous and I don't think it will sell for anywhere near the "Buy It Now" price. What do you think?

There is SOOOOO much that is not right about that car, I don't even know where to begin. At least it isn't being passed off as 'original'.   I especially like the roadrunner horn that's not even connected.

I would say for a '74 318 barracuda they are 60-70% over priced, but with a 440-6 and all the other odds and ends?  It seems like a nice car, and has a whole bunch of stuff done to it, but..............  NO !

:iagree:  That is a nice car but even dropping the prices by $10K would help out a lot.

But if it's your flavor and you have the $$$........

Is this guy serious?? :screwy: No bids yet!! Maybe he'll get the hint. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but not nice enought to pay 44K.  :scared: Maybe 30K. Maybe...

What would they be from? Poor cleaning detail or actually part of the paint!?!?  :sly:
Also, some of the lines/gaps leave a lot to be desired. For that money, it should be in-line like a Chinese military.

If he can sell it for $20k he'll be lucky. Once again, an example of bad math. $15k car + $6k engine = $44k

Probably doesn't want to sell but would for that inflated price. My 71 Challenger 318 auto converted to 440 4 speed is for sale for $45,000 if anyone is interested. Not a dime cheaper and I get to call you sucker.

Older amateur restoration, engine not original, color not original - I'd say $30 ish (if you could find someone who likes the color on a '74).

Its a dealer. They usually think their cars are the greatest thing available anywhere at any price.

Most, but not all. I recently saw a dealer sell a red/red numbers matching AAR Cuda on eBay for $52k, and it was gorgeous. If I could have sold a couple of my cars and got up the money, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
