It is really amazing, as a recently retired US Marine it really is breathtaking to see a group of people take so much time and care to make a soilders dream come true. Whoever is headding up the press coverage of this whole deal should contact the different millitary mags that get passed out to service memebers and get them to cover this story, i know it would make alot of my friends still fighting for our country damn happy to know theres alot of people over here that care deeply about them and hope they all stay safe so they can grasp their dreams as well.

Once again hats off to everone that worked, donated parts, money and encouragement. They are the greatest cars in the world, driven by the greatest people in the world!

i have lots of friends deployed right now that would love to hear this story, i told one guy that just came back (SFS) after 9 months in Iraq, and his eyes acctually started to water. very touching matter here, i get choked up talking about it. even though I am not Don, Thank you.

I've been silent all through this, mainly because of the awe I'm in and just can't come up with enough appropriate words for all involved, especially Tony. Anyway, has anyone burned all the posted pics onto a DVD or CD? The reason I ask is because I've been doing it. There's 400+ shots on a CD so far. Unfortunately they aren't 100% in sequence. When I went into some of the other threads I found Rev's moving pics and Moparal's original shots and, who knows, I may have even missed the odd one. Anyway, I was thinking if this hasn't been done by someone else yet (and a better version) then I could burn a bunch of copies for whoever and somehow get one to Cudaguy. I'll keep copying right up until it leaves for Carlisle, unfortunately I can't make it. On a last note, some extra "people" pics would really personalize the CD better.

Just another thought but maybe Moparal could show these photos with it finished to the previous owner who lowered his asking price to let the site purchase it.   I'm sure he'd love to see how well it turned out and be honored to have helped make this possible.

Definately fighting some electrical issues. The functions not working properly should not effect starting and driving the car. Hopefully Chryco will be able to be here tomorrow. Any body have a pair of horns and a horn relay for a 73. Everywhere I checked told me it is discontinued. I have a feeling I will be on a scavenger hunt in the swaps when I get to Carlisle. Made alot of progress today on other avenues.

Looking really nice.....never thought I would like the color when it was first posted, but man that car looks great.

I've got a set of horns in my 73, but the darn things are broken (I think)...they sound really whimpy.....almost too high pitched.
