There was never at anytime anything negative said about her or what she was attempting to do, in fact the opposite, it was all in my questioning Carlisle Productions and Chrysler Nationals' take on what was being done by c-c.c for Don. Sad she evidently didn't see or understand it as it was.

With the way she was talking about her friends at Carlisle, she could have taken offense to the comments about them.  I know I do not like people talking about my friends.

I bet very few people can just go up to the owners and ask them for a favor.

Just a thought.

:iagree: Coming right along. I was wondering if all this could really happen on time, but seeing this I don't think there'll be a problem.

Wow, those quarters are very solid!!! :faint:  The progress is looking great, Fishn4Cuda!!! :2thumbs:

As for what happened, I didn't mean anything in my previous post to offend anyone (here or the people at Carlisle).  I personally liked the idea that it be presented on-stage to him.  I was simply suggesting a way to possibly get a median between the two choices that were offered. :bricks1:

Looking good guys....I'm fabricating a box to send you the dash cap in as you read this, so hopefully I'll have it sent out soon.

4C the dash is out and heading your way. Dons dad came down tonight and we removed the whole dash, loaded it in his car and it's on its way north.

Dons dad and uncle Mic came again today. Another very productive evening. Dash out, AC components disconnected, and all glass out. Tomorrow my guys and I are removing the drivetrain. Wed ...Media blasted.

Found a couple more issues: Radiator and K frame is cracked. I told Don I may have an extra K frame in my packrat stash. :2thumbs: Radiator we will need and it's a 26" core.

RDF,
4Cruizin is going to detail the dash. We still need the dash cap. Get ahold of 4C and ship it to him. If you send it to my shop I will forward it to him.

1st , my mom will be shipping the center caps out on monday. 2nd she deleted her account not because of attacks on her. because of the attacks on carlisle.and she didn't want to be associated with peps saying things about them. she gave an option didn't tell anyone they had to do it. carlisle was flamed before questions were even asked. my mom made the call and they were right there willing to do anything they could. they happen to be personal friends of ours. i've know them since i was a baby and they are wonderful peps that were willing to help out. use of the stage, work it into the already hectic schedule, take care of the media, etc. and they asked for nothing in return. so it would be appreciated if anything inflammatory about them would be removed. what would happen if you needed them n they saw this thread?  sorry fishn4cuda ur doing a great job by the way

:clueless: :dunno:  I didnt notice any flaming going on. Sorry if it looks that way to her. I believe everyone here is just stumbling through tossing up questions and answers trying to find agreeable solutions. The biggest thing in this post is to give Don a cuda as a gift from cc.c to him. Nothing more, nothing less. And that is the only intention to start with.  If it's a vendor needed problem, most of the items are being donated by members, cash, or labor.

Were just trying to do this as good as we can in a very short time span.  We could actually create a cc.c get together and present it to him at a club meeting and he would be just as happy.

But tell your mom thanks for everything she is trying to do for Don's benefit. We are still in the discussion mode right now and really needed her with us for her help, support and q&A's.

I've been following this thread and I think it's great what you guys are doing for this soldier. I mean, it's beyond great. I know he'll be dumbfounded and elated. I wish that I was home during the beginning of this so I could have helped out as well. For what it's worth, I didn't really see any flaming towards the folks at Carlisle either and I hope Jackie will reconsider and come back too. :2cents:
