I decided there is no way i can miss him seeing this beast for the first time. so like it or not the GF is getting dragged to this show. Im going to sound retarded, but can someone PM me dates and location for all of this.

When i sent the headders out i explained to the guy what it was going to be used for, and he didnt charge me for the box or packing materials!

OK, I now have new batteries. After a week of blocking, tonight I put the entire car in its second coat of primer. Tomorrow a final block and fine tune, then disassemble and trim in fenders, clean, retape, and get everything ready for an overall paint on Sunday or Monday. I can't wait cause after that....everything starts to go back together.

  I realize they are just pics, but those seams look perfect. When this idea was proposed I personally had images of a purchased nice "turn key" cuda for Don. This will top that for sure, this is going to be A 1  great !  Speaking of this idea and dream for us to do this for Don, someone ought to look back somewhere and see who first suggested the idea. HE / SHE HAD ONE HELL OF AN IDEA !

The idea came from Don's Stepfather who has passed away now.  He came to me and asked if the site would help him find cuda_guy a car but he had no money.  So I talked with REV and we decided to take donations to see if we could make this happen about the timethat his stepfather died.  You know the rest.

OMG, I never realized the person who suggested this had passed away!  I can't imagine all of the emotions Don will feel upon learning that his departed Step Dad got the ball rolling on this  I really wish PA wasn't so darn far from TX

   At least to an extent. Personally I feel any and all threads / posts that reveal monies donated and even parts donated ought to be deleted. This information is unimportant. The Cuda and parts are the accumulation of the members of this site, enough said. It shouldn't be who did what or how much, c-c.c did this for Don. Now with that being said, it's going to be pretty hard to hide how and where this work was actually done, in fact Tony and his business should be recognized when the car is given to Don in my opinion.      

I say the above because I'm certain there are many many members who wanted to help in some way but just were not able to do so, some have even made such statements. This was not a contest, it was an idea, a dream, a work of love, and one hell of an accomplishment.

While I do not care if Don knows that I dontated anything or not, I think that he would get a kick out of seeing how it all came together. I agree it is not a contest but I feel he should see all that went into making this car for him, down to every last detail.
