As always, it's looking great and becoming more of a complete car as each day passes.   Don won't believe his eyes.

Russ, he probably won't go to sleep for a couple days,.........he'll just sit and stare and wipe his eyes. That's what i'd do buddy. I've wiped them plenty already over all this, and a big part of it is the way this "family" has come together to help any and every way possible. Makes ya proud to know these people here.

The last couple of days have been a scramble for parts. The ignition switch harness was fried and had to order a new one. The whole under dash harness was completely melted roached. That harness is not cheap new. So I dug into my stash of parts and located a 72 Challenger non AC harness. Spent the morning tracing wires and making sure everything would work. Assembled the detailed steering column. Installed the dash and column. Prepped the motor for start and break in. Assembled a few more parts. Had to delay the exhaust until Friday. The seat frames are now powder coated and sent to the upholsterers shop. Alot is being donated here locally in Ohio. Recieved a call from Carlisle and have some things in the works. May benifit those who are coming in late Thurs or early Friday. (Please read what I posted in the Mopar Mag intrest thread) Nothing in stone but an idea. Found a remote mirror for the drivers side in my stash, so...I had to get a passenger to match. Recieved a gracious discount from Deutschman Automotive. Called him Tues and recieved the mirror today. Oh and we did get a rumpity rump growl of of the engine today on first fire.

Fishn, you da man! i know that Carlisle is coming up quick and im not going to be able to donate any more before then, but will you accept some donations to cover some of the bills afterwards? Sorry that i cant help right now. only have so many parts and even less $$$$

Fishin, maybe when you get the statements together you could post up a list of what you laid out, hopefully the donations will come close, but either way it will show how much you are out of pocket , maybe we can dig a little deeper if needed, or if we should somehow get it done, any leftovers could go towards your carslile expenses or even to the car itself if needed, I sure would like to see you get a few six packs outta this deal. If I make carslile, I will buy a round directly!  Thanks  for all your hard work.Rich.

I have just read all 23 pages of this post, and have seen the original car pictures.  It's taken a couple of hours to read all the posts and see where this thing has come from.  There just aren't words to describe what's going on in the English language.

Two things.  I think I know the 318 that might be in it, and there's plenty of life left.  I agree when an engine dies, there just is but one thing to do.  Smart thing to have the right thing at the right time.  Also, somebody asked if someone would have a CD, and I'll bring my wife's new CD called "Fairytales," which features a song called, "I Have Hope" and "From the Dust."  Her contribution is also my being there Sunday to help out.  Amazing how this is coming together, like it's part of a master plan.  It is!

I have a couple of Mopar fans that need to get online to this site and be a part of the finances to get this baby finished!

I plan to make a list with costs of parts and materials. Been so busy with the car, I just haven't had time to add everything up. I should have time this next week since the car is very close to done. Took a vid today during break in. It sounds great! Now just have to figure out how to get it on here. Exhaust on Friday. Interior over the weekend. Next week front alignment. And my favorite part.....Test and tune!
