New Guy
« on: November 06, 2003 - 02:32:53 PM »
In one of my Mopar Magazines there was a project  360 engine buildup called Slick Budget Small Block.
The engine was installed in a Dodge Challenger and ran in 12's.

My Challenger was due for a transplant so I followed their recipe fairly close and built myself a 360.
But will my car run 12's?

I ran low 13's my first time out. (13.41, 13.18, 13.08).
My car was nosing down going through the traps.
Next came the electric fuel pump, and FBO's ignition system and a home made extreem filter in top of my six pack lid.
Oct 26 was my last chance to hit the track before the end of the season.

Race Day!  Weather was cool and clear.
12.95  first run!   12.82 second run!
My gas tank was very low so I pumped 2 gals of 100 Octain!  Next run was 12.69

After my 12.82 run, 3  curious guys came over to were my car was pitted and wanted to see what was going on under the hood of my T/A impersonator.
No artifical sweeteners!

Good day at the races!
