How many people here have restored cars or projects???
« on: May 03, 2007 - 07:47:09 AM »
It seems I get busier and busier each day.I was looking forward to starting on my project cars again this spring but with the countless projects on my ranch to do those dreams are fading fast, lol.I guess i will get to them when i get to them.I just hate seeing them in my shop and not having the time to work on them, maybe mid summer when i get some ranch projects done i can get back to them.

Between Nikki and The BIG Girl (my Pontiac) seems there's always something I'm polishing /updating/tweaking/changeing. And the more I look the more I find I want to do. So even tho I guess you could call both of them restored... to me they are "projects"  :cooldancing: And it's getting harder to get done all the time. Between the shop/home/Fl and Ar properties/my strange addiction to lionel trains/dog/wife. Hmmm posted wife last...

mine are totally ignored , I build everyone elses cars & mine just sit waiting , when it is warm enough to work on them there is no time & tough to get motivated in the cold

Not including customer's cars, I've restored 5 cars for myself.  My 71 Cuda clone, my wife's 73 Cuda clone, my wife's 70 hemi chal convert clone (just sold it), my son's 70 Challenger R/T and my 79 Trans Am. I own several cars that are nice enough to leave alone including my 69 runner and 69 superbee and have a few project cars including my 69 Charger R/T, nice driver but needs new wheels tires, brakes and the paint completed and my wife's 5.7 hemi superbird clone. I have numerous cars that would be easy restos but will probably end up restoring them for my customers as time goes on.

Just my '73 project that's waiting for me to get out of college to finally have enough resources to finish it up.  I'm hoping I become well off and have many more, but only time and the market will show if that will be viable in the future. (It's sad thinking that I may end up paying big bucks for a 318 project car 5-10 years down the line.) :-[
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.
