Just ONE more.......
« on: May 03, 2007 - 08:05:18 PM »
1258 T/As now on file......

With just ONE more, we will be at the 1/2 way point with one half of total T/A production accounted for in the Registry.

Thanks to everyone that has helped the registry to grow to this point over the last several years.

Will we ever make it to 100%? I doubt it, but I had no reason to expect that we would ever hit the 1/2 way mark either, yet here we are.....

T/Ake care,
Barry Washington

Gotta love it! I'm amazed too. I did just sell my T/A but I'm still gonna stay in the loop. ONce you own one of these cars your hooked. I also strongly urged the buyer of my car to join the registry and get the newsletter! (which by the way is awesome).

Hey guys,
It is official, we hit 1259 last Saturday at the Spring Fling show.

Ask your buddies to register if they have not done so yet, there is no telling how far we can take this, but I am willing to try. 1259 down & only 1259 to go.

I had a real FM3 T/A pull in behind me at the car wash the other day! I got some bad cell phone pics and some info. to get in touch with the owner, I'll send him your way Barry. It blew me away! He said he bought it for 2K as a senior in H.S. And it's a 4 speed. A very nice car !!  Got me thinkin'... How many were FM3 ?

I am frankly surprised that this many have survived!  Pretty amazing when you think how many were thrashed around when new plus the "rust belt" part of the country was not kind to cars in general.

Well, not all of those survived. Since Chysler did not keep records for us, the registry includes parted cars. Some of the pink cars listed are just broadcast sheets found in other cars as well. At least with the broadcast sheets we know the cars were made.

There is now way to know for sure how many survived......

Off the top of my head, I do remember one pink T/A that was rumored to have been rebodied, and one blue T/A that was totaled and rebodied. It has a fake fender tag now that says it was pink as well.  :nono: There is a green T/A out there also with a fake tag saying it was pink.  :eek7:

OUt of the 1258, is there any easy way to tell how many are whole cars? Or would it be labor intensive to go through all the Vins to see what was entered as a broadcast sheet vs Car and such?
