70 TA Challenger Hood molding
« on: May 06, 2007 - 12:16:01 AM »
Is the front hood molding on a 70 TA Challenger the same as is on a regular steel hood. Thanks, Eric

The 70 Chally hoods all had the same molding. They have clips with threads on them that mount thru holes in the front of the hood. They are then held on by 3/8" speed nuts. I can dig one up and post a pic for you, if you need to see one.

Thanks Mike! I was told they were different but I didn't think they were. Eric

Thanks! I'm biulding a 70 Challenger 440 6-Pack NHRA Super Stocker (SS/FA). It's my 1st time at "restoring" a car. Trying to get it to look as stock as possible. It' has a Phill Mandella chassic. It will be Go Mango with a white R/T stripe down the side with white interior. Because NHRA lets us use the TA hood I sold my 70 Cuda and am biulding the Challenger. The car should be out later this year or early next year. Thanks again for the help! Eric
