In 1970 R/T's could be ordered with the longitudal R/T stripe (code 'V6*', with (*) denoting color code, this meant you got R/T badges on the grill and decklid and the R/T callout on the stripe itself. If you ordered the bumble-bee stripe (code 'v9*', with (*) denoting color code), or stripe-delete (code V68), then you got R/T badges on the grill, both front fenders, and decklid, four total. In 1971, R/Ts had NO badges on the grill or decklid or anywhere, only the '71 style longitudal R/T stripe (code 'V6*', with (*) denoting color code). No 'V9*' bumble-bee for '71. If it is a 'V68' stripe delete, or 'V5*' side-moulding car, as is this car, then no R/T identification would be on the car at all.
Those R/T badges you occasionally see on '71s are dealer or owner add-ons.
