There are no studs with the bumper. You could drill through it and use bolts if you wanted to. I decided to fiberglass in some studs to the back side of the bumper (see pictures). I then made a real simple bracket out of aluminum (the red tape is just holding the two piece bracket in place, since I don't have the capability of welding aluminum). I just used square aluminum tubing and flat stock. You could also use steel.
FY1Cuda, yes I imagine you could fiberglass in a steel strip, or try the method proposed by 360Cuda.
