Hey from NH
« on: May 09, 2007 - 10:51:19 AM »
Hey,

I'm new to thread (obviously), I have a '69 barracuda I'm in the process of trying to figure out where to go with the resto on...It has a 318 in it now, but that'll hopefully be getting pulled to make room for a stroker...thats about it for now I guess.

Not too many pics right now, the only ones I have are the really bad ones I took with my cell phone a week or so after I brought it home.  Its a 318 auto, console shift, the paint in the picture is deceving.  Whoever did the paint job has obviously never done body work before...I'm planning on starting a resto this summer (I've had the car for a little over 2 years, but I havent had the money).  I want to go back to the original blue (instead of the seafoam torquise) and probably find something else to do for an engine (stroker maybe????).

Welcome to the site, Cudakid69!  I'd suggest maybe looking at stroking a 360 for that if you really want to go with a stroker. (For the money you'd put into stroking the 318 you may as well step up to a 360 or 340 if you want something more correct for the year.)

I was thinking of stroking a 360, since I can get one in good condition cheap at a local junk yard, but we'll see what ends up happening...
