I can't wait to see mine together. I love it with the AAR hood. AH!

Reminds me I need to update my thread with my nearly month old pictures now.

It's been busy!

How's yours coming along?

It's not LOL. :grinno: Won't start until around August/September next year. Dad's will be first at the body shop then we'll bring it home to restore in his garage (Father & Son project). Then mine will go into the shop and won't come back until it's completed. I'm hoping Madeline will be around 12-14 months in the making so pretty fast.

All parts are ready, engine, trans, diff, interior, you name it so it's just the paint and body work which is zero to minimal as I spent money up front getting a solid complete rust free car. I'd rather get Dad's 'Cuda in so he has time to enjoy it while "he still can". Plus, I've put money into the Jeep and my new toy which is coming from the US in Dec so as it is my funds are low, which I knew buying the Jeep and my new toy, just a reshuffle basically. Playing the car market if-you-will.

Ah, putting a car like that away for a year must be agonizing.

Hey Carl,  :wow: Who did the pic.
Is this exacly what you want yours to finish up looking like  :dunno:
One little thing i would change would be the lower grille into a dark argent, i know that this would not be correct as painted grilles have painted lower grilles to match, but Black grilles where not available in 71 anyway.  But they should have come this way as you have it. :faint:
Another little feature would be cool is to chrome plate the lower grille and then paint out for Dark Argent, leave the little bevelled edge of the lower grille chrome with the rest dark argent.
Still looks awesome though :woohoo:

Thanks guys.

Ken - It's close but not quite to how mine will look, too much rake. You're correct but not quite about black grilles. Black grilles were not available but body colour grilles were, mine is black, therefore a black grille is correct. ;) Mine will be like the car below, except Hemi call outs on the billboards, BFG tires. Can't wait, long time to go but still it's close, all parts are stored and read to go. At least I have other toys to play with this time, not like Lucy, no car for 3-1/2 years sucked lol.

Very nice Mikeg, welcome aboard. :2thumbs:

One of our members "Willhaven" is having a 'Cuda built pretty similar to yours with the AAR hood etc.
