You should run the fabbed covers but give them a raw look, you can use ultra fine steel wool in a brushed stroke pattern. Polished is too much maint and too disco.
Chrome won't get you home.
If it don't run, chrome it.
I wish my wheels were raw and not polished. Maybe the steel wool is in store for those sometime. If I don't care for the results I can always repolish, so can you. :2cents:
If you want some matte black covers I'll trade you mine for your fabbed ones, I dig those!

I like the polished valve covers.  If you decide to use them then may I recommend Zoop Seal?  It keeps the shine on the covers for quite a while and does not require polishing.

I have the cast alum mopar performance powder coated black ones.  They don't leak with neoprene gaskets and really look sharp.  91$ for pair at local dodge dealer.

I like the painted covers best.
