Rob,

Glad the cuda is finally getting some attention!  The Pace Car looks great though...  You keeping the cuda all factory eg. 72 stripe vice hockey, factory color? What rims?  V-top?  If you get some time let us know how it will end up.

Not sure on anything yet. I bought 340 billboards a long time ago, thinking about putting those on. Maybe a hockey stripe instead.
The body guy wants me to keep it Curious Yellow because it is a rare color.
A friend says that was the only color charged extra for in '72.
Wife says that people that drive bright colored cars, want to attract attention to themselves. She is going to drive it and doesn't want attention. (I told her it is a CUDA and will attract attention in any color)
I saw 4Cruizin's black Cuda and a black cuda does look good.

Still trying to decide on everything. Maybe throw in a cheap 5.7 hemi because I saw a black HemiCuda in the '80s and liked the name and the look.

Will keep the pistol grip though. I love shifting these cars.

Car didn't have a fender tag but from all of the color I see, I see a Y1 Top Banana color.

I think my body guy thinks this is a Curious Yellow car, but that color wasn't available in '72 and was more green.
I'll have to set him straight and start calling it Top Banana.

I welded in a new driver's floor sometime in '06. I was rusted through. Very easy piece to put in if you have a welder.

I found some pics of the cuda on an old hard drive. These pics were from August 26, 2006. I had welded in a new piece of metal all the way across the bottom of the tail panel. It was totally rusted away. I also welded on both rear quarters. Didn't take many pics back in 06, wish I had more.

I also rolled the rear suspension out of my Challenger and under the Cuda to see if it would fit. I'm using 295-50-15s on 10" wheels with a 5-1/2" backspacing on a 68-70 b-body 8-3/4 with my home-made 1" offset shackles and front hangers. It was a nice fit. I have a spare b-body housing so this Cuda might just end up with it.

Looking good man!  What is your decision on the color?  Are you keeping the hood that was on it or changing to something else?

Going to keep the hood. Clay put lots of work into getting it smooth. It had 7 layers of paint on it when I got it.

As for color, It is a hard decision. If somebody asked you what color Cuda you would like to have, what would you say today?

Would you change your answer to another color tomorrow, next week?
