Nothing is set in stone yet. I liked the look of your black Cuda. I also like the AAR type stripes. I'll show her some stuff and let her decide. She just wants the windows tinted, so a dark smoke tint is planned.

I called Hagery Insurance on Thursday to get a quote on Storage-towing and Full insurance. They said a "LOW" value on my '72 Cuda was $26,000 and would cost me $100 a year for storage and towing, agreed value policy. When I was ready to drive, it would be another $30.    I think she said a "HIGH" end Cuda value was $46,000.  Wow!  Pictures were needed but the "low" value is where it starts.   This price is because I already have cars insured by them.  My $400 investment quickly shoots up with a little work. Glad I stuck with E-bodies for a choice in cars.

It'll turn some heads. I will have to work on the exhaust note. What do those Mustangs do to make them sound so mean.

I found this on my Hagerty's Insurance website. As of December 2013, it shows that a low end '72 Cuda's value is about $26,000 like she said, But all the way up to $59,000 for a high end one. Wow!

You know that I'm taking my RoadKill Pace Car on the Power Tour.
The wife now says that she never said that she would drive to Carlisle. I told her it is only 14 hours and we could stop half way. She says that a 4 hour road trip would be her max. So it looks like I drive the whole 14 on my own.

Some of those Power Tour days are 8 hours in the car too. So I'll be on my own there too.

Congrats Rob on getting your car out of "Paint Prison" . That's always the roughest road. Mine is going into
prison in the next couple of months barring any unforeseen problems. I need to start a build thread on it. Maybe this week I'll do it.

Dragged the car home on Thursday, 02-13-14 before the next snow came.




Bought some actuators for my power door locks and trunk release.
A pair was $10, but I needed 3 to pop the trunk, so I bought 4. These fit very nicely behind the raised metal portion under the door's armrest. These are what I used in my two other e-bodies. I don't like using keys to open doors and scratch paint.



I use relays to drive my actuators from this diagram. I put in rectifier diodes across the relay coils to kill the pulse when they de-energize. You can feel the shock if your fingers are across the terminals. I don't want any stray pulses in wiring since I'll have fuel injection. I don't add any lock/unlock buttons to my doors. I just use my alarm outputs to work the relays.
