how to date code 4 speed

 :clueless: I have a extra 4 speed from an A body and i need a set of syncro drum keys for a 70-74 e-b body. My understanding is the drum keys. vary from 64 to 67
68-69 and 70 to 74 is another size. so i would like to know what vintage the A body is whith out haveing to tear it down. Is there some way to date code the trany. :cheers:Thanks

there is a date code stamped ont he right side of the trans
 but I would still pull the side cover to be sure that nothing has been swapped internally
 Also Passon will sell you new sets of keys for the 70-74 , they use the wider key used into the late 80s

 :burnout: Thanks chryco i will check it to night. I live in B.C. so it takes a while to get the parts from passion .

I believe Passon has a dealer for Canada set up in BC
