CHALLENGER T/A TO OZ THE SAGA CONTINUES!!!
« on: May 16, 2007 - 05:07:09 AM »
WELL GUYS THE DAY OF RECKONING IS HERE.............after a great long saga my t/a has gone from illinois to atlanta and now its on its way to oz, its in the container fully loaded this morn your time, along with all the stuff i could afford and a few other cars getting shipped to savannah to get on the boat ,for its 8week journey to oz.its been a fairly intensive time , getting from illinois , thru snow then to atlanta to storage to savannah and then finally home for the resto,im still abit anxious getting thru us customs by the end of the week ,but i believe all will be ok. the ship sets sail on 30 may your time.parts from year one were done to the wire with some stuff not in stock, which i will have to have picked up later and stored for freight at a later date.they were great as its normally a 24hr wait on international orders but they picked and packed in a couple of hours for my friend to pick up at their factory in atlanta. i cant speak highly enough of one of our forum members , gary ( moparman440 ) for all your help thanks mate ,as without even last minute help i would have been in a customs nightmare, a great guy mike lancaster at year one , he handles international orders ( thanks mate) . at last its on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news, glad to hear it's all working out for you after a little bit of stress and time.
Mike Lancaster is awesome, I have dealt with him for years, helps me out, talk about cars, top bloke.

I'll be doing the USA > NZ car shipment eventually. With either a complete car or one needing restoration. Who have you been using to have your car shipped and if you don't mind, what was the charges on shipping costs? I will be using Mike Curle from LA. He charges $2,500 USD for pickup and import to NZ all paper work taken care of.

Hey Al, I've been actively searching for a 71 Cuda for probably 6 weeks now. I'm not in too much of a rush, well, I am,  but I don't want to rush into a car "just because" and get some bondo vehicle. :-[ So, I'm just taking my time. I'm actually seriously considering having a car built for me in the USA. Talking to a few people as we speak about plans on a custom build car..........lot to think about, not enough $. :-\
Oh well, you can't be the richest person in the cemetery, live life to enjoy it.  :ylsuper: :burnout: :smokin: :drunk: :bananasmi
