shipping quotes
« on: May 16, 2007 - 01:43:08 PM »
I just want to give you all a heads up on the rate changes at the USPS.Last week I got a quote to ship a rather large package(radiator support)With the changes in there I couldn't ship priority now and with parcell post it got a balloon charge because of the overall size
quote--priority--20.50
to ship today-parcell post--58.28

That sux, its even worse to get parts up in Canada, there is a brokerage fee involved every time.

Just a thought, Maybe if the cost of shipping gets to high the swap meets will make a comeback. The ones around here have went to the dogs as it's to easy to sit at home on  :ebay: and just ship the parts out. I've been told this many times from venders. Why should I deal when they bid over the stuff. I always thought the most fun in doig a car was the trappsing through the swap meet and junk yards for parts not setting at home on a  :chatting:.   :2cents:

Clown,  you're in MA?  if so, I didn't realize that.  I'm from Billerica, MA (next to lowell, Burlington, etc.) but now I live in Orlando, FL.  I'll be up there for Father's Day for about 6 days, any swap meets going on up there at that time (Thurs. June 14th - Tuesday, June 19th)??

I actually live in NW CT. But grew up in the Westfield -Springfield area,I was gonna take the 69 Cuda and put my mark in the center of town(first time back to my home town with real car in 20 years)But will take the Dart with the six and the better gas mileage.I need the money for the Challenger project,so I will be selling parts. As far as shows going on at that time?I will do a little research and let you know.
