Eric, I'm sorry to hear that.  I'm still dreading the day when our dog Rebel gets too old.  He's been the best dog I can remember in my lifetime and our first one was quite the dog.

Thank you guys for all your support, and im sorry for all of you who had similar experiences.yes she was a very good dog,and one of the smartest dogs i have ever owned.i will consider getting another pup probably from the pound.just not anytime very soon in the picture.eventually i would love to get a siberian husky.my dad had one a few years back and it was a great dog.i know i can never get Harley back but the best thing to do is just move on and know that i treated her very well, and that was the best i could do.im just a dog lover.thank you again for all of your kind words.

Deepest sympathies on the loss of your friend. We had to euthanize our dog, Willow, a 13 year old American Eskimo, on January 29 of this year, so we can understand the pain you are going through. Just remember that your friend is in a better place, and that you will see each other again.

No dog can replace the one you lost , they all have different personalities like people
but at least you can give another dog a good home & they will love you for it

i am so sorry for your loss, i am dreading those "days" since we have 5 (3 for the wife & me) mini dachshunds - my mom adopted 2 when we lost my father & grandmother

we replaced the adopted 2 for us "Dick & Jane"

time does not really help that much but we will always have a new "family" before it is time to depart the older children - 9 years old now, 1 five years old

my mother would absolutely lose it when the 2 she has begin to have problems

in my prayers
