    cuda problem??

    i have a 1970 cuda convert. and the pass. rear bumper sits about a inch lower the the drive side it was origionally a 318 car but now has a 383 and i haven't changed the leaf springs yet. do you think that is it or should i try something else thanks

    Probably leaf springs are worn out. The other thing is the tosion bars may need adjusted due to the weight of the big block. Assuming you kept the SB torsion bars in the car.

    Measure other areas, like rear bottom of the rocker, frame, and such.  When I built my first leaf spring mopar, I put the rear springs in on the wrong sides, so mine sat the same way because of the extra leaf for a 4 speed :roflsmiley:

    Is he talking about the gap or the actual car is sitting lower on the LH side?

    i measured from the ground to the of the rear tube on the driver side and pass. and both the same. than the bumper to ground and the pass is about a inch lower. i haven't change anything since i got the car. i'm going to change the leaf springs were would you suggest to get them i've heard bad things about mopar performance?

    Sounds like the body of the car is level but just the bumper is off by an inch?  :dunno:

    It does sound like a suspension problem but it's hard to say what is causing it without an inspection
