I so wish I could be there for this. I wonder if they would notice I wasn't in Iraq for a few days. Maybe I could have a sherpa plane sneak me out, lol.

I think all the ideas are great.  We have a DVD recorder that we will have at the show.  If you will let us know where this will take place we can be sure to be around during the presentation.  We will be coming in Wednesday evening and we will be at Carlisle to put our AAR in one of the Invitational buildings (building T) Thursday around 12 noon.  We look forward to meeting all of you next week.  We think this is a great thing that the board is doing.  Dan is also a Veteran (Viet Nam) and he thinks it is a wonderful gesture.

This is the general game plan. Not set in stone. Yet.  :naughty: Friday AM. The car is on stage or in front under cover. All of the C-C.Com members standing behind the car with our banner. The local Armory may be there. A bus or large truck trailer parked between the crowd and the car with us. Don Garlits and Shirly Muldowny out in front of the bus call Don Moore to the stage. Give him a thank you for service to his country and presentation that his freinds at CCC have something for him. Then they say "driver, Move that bus/truck!" We hold up our banner and present him the keys to his new Cuda as we pull the cover off.
I have been on the phone with Carlisle and they are working to arrange this to happen.
Carlisle is very excited this is happening at the event. Trying to work out times and specifics as we speak.

Back to the Cuda. :working:

:banghead: I wish I could be there!!!!!!

On another thread someone mentioned about getting his son involved?  How about have his son hand him the keys before the truck is moved?  :dunno:  Have the anouncer anounce that his son found something of Don's and needs to give it to him?  :dunno:

Now that's what I was hoping for. I'll even take a day off work on Friday to be there.
