Disassemble Glove Box Door
« on: May 20, 2007 - 07:45:55 PM »
Hi,

I am disassembling the glove box door to do a re-paint.

Any suggestion as to how the chrome knob/locking mechanism comes apart so that I can seperate it from the door.

Appreciate it.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Last week I had to deal with that same issue. I didnt read Barry's post yet, but, I took a small flat tip screw driver and pushed on some flate locking bars just behind the latch. It had like 4 or 5. 1 at a time and slides an 1/8 or so. It comes right out. It's just as tricky getting it back together too. :2thumbs:
