1972 Mustang Prototype Has Some Challenger Lines
« on: May 21, 2007 - 09:47:03 AM »
Someone sent me these pix & the first thing I thought of, was that the lines on the side of the car look Mopar to me. The side body line looks like the original Challenger. I thought I'd post it so you can all see it. I love the back end of the car, but the front doesn't look so great, too long looking.

I didn't search too much, but it's called a 1972 Mustang Milano.

If you had tried to tell me that it was a concept car for a '75 Challenger, i would've believed it... :eek7:

Does look cool looking!  :grinyes:

I've always liked the concept cars from the 60's/70's.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

The body line definitely looks like a Challenger. The tail panel and grill could use some tweaks though.

:clueless: Something like that. But for 72 the body line says Challenger rip off to me.  :hyper:

The rear looks pretty good.  The front needs some work, but not too bad.

If they didnt make Challengers (Thank good ness they did) then I would like it more.   :-\

Right!!

The body line along with the quarter window shape scream Challenger.
Overall though it does look like a Ford. The rear styling is way cool but the top of the quarter looks too skinny.

Thanks for sharing that, I have never seen this one before :2thumbs:

It sure does look like the Challenger body line on the side.  Thanks for sharing that.  Notice the color too?

It does look remarkably similar to the F-body successor to the E-body that I've seen in some Challenger/Barracuda books.

Aside from the quarter panel's body line, the rear end swoop reminds me of a Detomaso Pantera.
