Forum Shorthand
« on: May 21, 2007 - 03:40:49 PM »
For those that are new to any type of forum, the acronyms can be confusing, and hard to figure out.  I was thinking that maybe we could do a sticky in the newbie section with all of the acronyms.  I'll start it off with some off the top of my head, I know there's a ton more, just not that I can remember now.

LOL- Laughing out loud
ROFL- Rolling on floor laughing
LMAO- Laughing my @ss off

FWIW- For what its worth
IIRC- If I remember correctly
IMO- In my opinion

Any more you guys can remember, post em up to help out those that dont know the lingo yet.

:lol2: I would and have only used, about 4 or 5 of those at most. For confusions sake, it's easier to spend an extra 5 seconds and type it in full. That's how I text and spell all my words out in full, otherwise (to me) it's exactly how boyracers speak & text. "Yo, whadup bo, u keenas 4 a burn l8r in ma rotary, brrp brrp with the boom boom" :eek4:
