Great looking 70 Barracuda. I love the color and the progress looks like you maybe driving it before long. Keep us posted with pictures of the progress.

Thanks for the nice words guys.  Very keen to get enough of the exterior trim in place so I can send a photo back to the original owner.  You might remember it was a one-owner car out of California and I managed to get in contact with him and get an original pic.  I've always wanted to close the loop on the story and send him a photo to show that his car is in good hands down here in Oz but it has taken soooo long.  Hopefully he hasn't moved in the mean time.

Question - does it matter that there is paint in the exhaust ports on the heads???  Will this burn off??  Heads weren't ported but will this have an impact??  Could the paint have fouled the valves??

In all honesty, I would have plugged the exhaust ports before painting. I really don't think it matters at all. The heat will be too much, and it will all burn off. The first few minutes or so of firing it up might smell a little though.  :grinyes:

That is the proper way to restore a car.  Wish I had the money to do it that way.   Since I don't, thats why mine will be a driver...............Hopefully a nice one.   Looking very good.........Keep the pics comming.

Well the weather in Sydney held things up for a week but the Barracuda is now home.  I reckon I have at least 10 inches on each side of the car in the garage so progress might be a little slow (not quite sure how I will get in and out of the car in the garage - does this mean that buying a new house is a restoration cost?).
