I live near Pottstown, Pa. and I have been to Carlisle many times. The first thing I like to do is browse the swap area for bargains. Then I like to see the cars for sale. After that I spend the rest of the day looking at cars and talking to people.
If you love cars you will not be board at Carlisle. As for the after hour parties just talk to everyone while you are there. We are all looking to have fun during and after the show.

I have maps ptinted to GG and the host hotel. I would like to meet up with you guys and gals on Thursday at the show. Will the tent be up by then? The wife and I want to get the most out of this trip. In 05 it was a seat of the pants trip. This is getting close and I'm stoked. We have all our Civil War info and pretty much all maped out as to what we will be doing for 3 weeks out there.  :2thumbs:

Bill,

You need to get one of those annoying golf carts with a horn, and run people over like others do.

First off . . if you're not going to talk much . . sit next to MEK!   :grinyes:   As for boredom . . . not going to happen. (as you can see from this thread http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=23115.0 )   Not at this show!!  We are a club that will keep you entertained for sure!  I will bring the grill for lunch and the tent is already secured for our club!!  There is always someone at the tent!  No worries here . . if this is your first show . . you're starting off with the best!   :worshippy  You should visit with us at the hotel if you have the time as we all hang out and have a great time after the show!   :clapping:

Been there once and I will make it there as many times as I can from now on!!!  This is the best group of people you could ever meet!!!  I was blessed the day I found this site!!!

Miles don't bother me, I am a professional truck driver and i drive 500to 600 miles a night hauling doubles. my problem right now is money( Iknow i'll spend TOO MUCH at the Race )

The only time I have seen security react is when someone ( not one of our members) took a can of beer into the grandstand, that's a no no . We do take beer in, but we also use some good ole brain cells, remember, your driving after the show is over. We are there from around 7:00am to 8:00 / 9:00pm, it can be a long hot day,................but the strawberry smoothies are great too.  :2thumbs:

What goes on there on Thursday? The Carlisle Events site lists the show for Friday - Sunday but they also publish the admission price for Thursday???
