Where I live in South Florida a 2,500 sq ft home with a decent yard can go well beyond 500 thousand dollars. They just built some new houses in a empty lot near me that went from 635-735 thousand. Down my block a house sold for 615 thousand and it was about 2400 sq ft with a 12,000 sq ft yard.  Expensive down here.

thats correct MEK.

Right now foreclosures are everywhere too. back in the R.E. boom,  anyone could get a house. now the field has changed. Rates are too. A lot of re fi's have finally caught up to some of those that are now fore-closing.

My brother in laws brother just bought property in Costa Rica.  You can live for $600/mo.  No Mopar scene though.

I have a US work Visa.  It's not easy to get. Have you inquired about this?

I found the easiest solution in the world to your problem Chryco. Get a tan, fly to Mexico and come in the U.S. from the bottom. Heck, looks like we are about to grant citizenship to half the country of Mexico.

 :iagree:

It's worse in South Florida. If you touch American soil and you are Cuban you get to stay. I have nothing against Cubans but it's ridiculous what's happened down here.  (my wife is from cuba) You hear more spanish in Miami than english in many places here. I speak fluent spanish and I still get annoyed.  We have people who obviously can  contribute to here that have a nightmare getting a visa and others that their only agenda is to get what they can from here and send back to their native country (money) and don't care or have interest to assimilate into amercan society. Many contribute little to nothing and get here very easliy (mostly illegal) and complain when laws are finally trying to be enforced. (we should know who comes and goes into the country) We should never forget that this country is made up of immigrants but sometimes fairness in the process of coming here and the rule of law doesn't seem equal to all.
